Comedy Acts of Michelle Thrush "Kokum"
Michelle has been working professionally in the film, television and theatre business for over twenty years, having been in her first film at the age of seventeen. She grew up in Calgary and at the age of 21 decided to move to Vancouver to pursue her desire of being an actor. It was there that she found successful representation with her agent Murray Gibsons and has remained with him ever since. She now has over 40 professional credits in the entertainment industry as well as various awards and special recognitions.
She is currently starring in the popular APTN/Showcase hit drama BLACKSTONE as Gail Stoney. With this character Michelle received “Best Supporting Actress” for the pilot in 2009 at the “AMERICAN INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL” in San Francisco and was also honored to be nominated for “Best Alberta Actress” at the 2010 Alberta Motion Picture Awards. Some of her other television credits include being a regular character on the popular APTN/Showcase series “MOCCASIN FLATS” as well as starring in her second season of the comedy hit “MIXED BLESSINGS” as Kate. Michelle is also well known for her reoccurring role in the hit CBC series “NORTH OF 60” as Sylvie Lebret.

Muralist Larissa Healey will be painting live throughout the day a large 8' x 24' mural! One of Larissa's projects is the mural underneath Granville Bridge (picture).
A video guest book will be available for participants to leave their thoughts on what Chief Dan George’s legacy means to them.
Our Traditional Artisans Village returns with demonstrations of cedar weaving, cedar carving, drum making, and more!
The kids will have a chance to create various art projects at the Kids Tent.
Food vendors (including a salmon bbq) and art vendors will also be selling items.
